  There are better, friendlier, and cheaper kosher and Middle Eastern restaurants in Brooklyn. The person I gave my order to -- probably the owner -- refused to answer my questions about the menu. When I asked what he preferred between two dishes, he cut me off with "Whatever you like." When I asked if a certain dish was good, again he cut me off -- "whatever you like." Same thing when I asked what his favorite dish was.
  
  I finally gave in and just ordered what looked like a relatively cheap entree, the Shakshuka for $8. He asked me if I wanted it in pita bread or on a plate. I asked which he preferred, and again he reiterated, "Whatever you like." I gave in again, and just went with "the plate" because it sounded like less food than pita, which is a filling bread. It's like comparing a salad with a burrito.
  
  After I ate, and went to pay, he charged me $13, finally informing me that the plate costs $4 more than the pita. I contested this, explaining that I specifically chose the Shakshuka because it was $8. He insisted that I should have known the difference in price between the pita and plate. When I pointed out that he wouldn't answer my questions earlier, he wouldn't budge, and asserted that I should have known it would be more, even though I placed my finger on the $8 sign on the menu when I ordered. I even spoke Hebrew with him and opened up about how I don't have a lot of money right now and that $4-5 is a big difference for me.
  
  Ironically, while this was happening, a friend of his was trying to hand him tips for his meal, and he was refusing them, but still wouldn't accommodate my plea. He simply said that now I will know for next time. But for me, there won't be a next time there. It's unfortunate because when I first walked in I was excited to suggest a new restaurant to friends and family that keep kosher in NYC. I won't anymore; I'll be recommending somewhere else.

  Wow! Let's just start with the customer service. I went with a friend, who was in an electric wheelchair (too heavy to lift over the door entrance). The man at the front counter (Eddie) was kind enough to offer to bring my friend into the restaurant; he literally grabbed another guy and they picked my friend up and sat him in the restaurant. What a gesture! And this was repeated when we left the restaurant. Simply beyond.
  
  The food was fantastic too. Eddie made my friend a beautiful falafel platter, while I had a falafel pita sandwich. We also ordered the Hummus with Hot Fava Beans, which I loooved. I could eat it alone with rice - soooo good! I left full with lots of leftovers. All in all, I had a wonderful experience at Pita Point. They really care about the customer and providing fresh food. A+!

  Clean place.  Courteous staff, hi Eddie.  Now this spot knows their falafel.  I got a falafel sandwich.  Great portion size, flavorful and moist.  I could not eat the whole thing in one sitting.   Had the rest later that night.  The flavors marinated even more.  I do not frequent this side of Brooklyn too often but it's a worthwhile trip to get the falafel.  Next time I'll try the platter.   Definitely hit the spot! Good eats, good price and good customer sounds like a win to me.

  Wow, what a find. Shakshuka the way it was meant to be, and very generous portions as you can see. This will become a regular stop.
